Polystyrene Sheets
Enviroclad’s expanded polystyrene sheets are produced by slicing full-size EPS blocks to your required thickness using hot wire cutting technology. The process delivers clean, consistent edges with accurate dimensional control.
Our polystyrene foam sheets are manufactured at our Berri, South Australia facility from locally produced Expanded Polystyrene, available across a range of densities and thicknesses to match your application.
Thickness, Density and Thermal Performance
The right EPS specification depends on what it needs to do. Thickness determines the thermal resistance (R-value) of the sheet, while density governs compressive strength and load-bearing suitability.
Thinner polystyrene sheets at lower densities suit packaging and light insulation tasks. Thicker, higher-density expanded polystyrene sheets are specified for structural insulation, sub-slab applications, and environments where the material will bear weight or resist compression over time.

Material Properties and Compatibility
Expanded polystyrene sheets are chemically inert, non-toxic, and free from CFC and HCFC blowing agents.
The material is compatible with most common construction substrates, including concrete, timber framing, steel, and plasterboard, and will not react with or degrade adjacent materials over time. EPS also does not support bacterial or fungal growth and is resistant to dilute acids and alkalis, making it suitable for environments with strict hygiene requirements. Polystyrene sheets maintain dimensional stability across a wide temperature range, with no significant shrinkage, warping, or off-gassing once the manufacturing process is complete.
Enviroclad produces EPS across multiple density grades. Our technically experienced team (including an in-house engineer) can recommend the correct density and thickness combination based on the thermal and structural needs of your project.

How Our Polystyrene Sheets Are Produced
Production begins with raw polystyrene beads, expanded with steam and moulded under pressure into solid blocks at our Berri facility. These blocks are then fed through hot wire cutting equipment and sliced into polystyrene foam sheets at the specified thickness.
Hot wire cutting produces a smooth, sealed surface finish on both faces of the sheet, important for applications where the EPS sits against other building materials or where a clean presentation matters. Because we control the entire process from bead to finished expanded polystyrene sheet, quality and consistency are maintained across every order.
Shipped From Berri to Your Door
Polystyrene sheets are lightweight and stack efficiently, keeping freight costs practical even for large-volume orders. We dispatch from our Berri, South Australia facility into Adelaide and surrounds daily, service regional South Australia, and ship interstate through freight partners into Victoria, NSW, and the Northern Territory.
For broader requirements, Enviroclad also manufactures coolroom panels at the same facility.

Every order of expanded polystyrene sheets is cut to your exact thickness and density requirements at our South Australian facility.
At Enviroclad, we stay away from minimum order complexity, so a single thickness of polystyrene sheeting for a residential insulation job gets the same attention as a multi-density bulk order for a commercial fit-out.
